From Oud-Empel you can cycle to the Bommelerwaard in no time. Cycling along the dike you have a beautiful view of the Maas. Get some fresh air and clear your head. Via Kerkdriel you go to Rossum where you will pass a nineteenth-century country house. You also drive over the Sluis St. Andries. The Waal and Maas once had an open connection here. Further on you can take a look at the old Fort Sint-Andries from 1599. Here is also a characteristic air watchtower that served from 1955 to 1964. At Heerewaarden you cross the Maas. Back in North Brabant you will pass the Caners Museum Pumping Station and cross the Maxima Canal via the Empel Lock, which was opened in 2014. At De Lachende Vis you can grab a terrace.
