Cycling along the Brabants-Gelderse Maas is wonderfully peaceful. You will pass old farms and churches, such as the sixteenth-century village church in Well. A little further on you can see the privately inhabited Slot van Well, a beautiful moated castle, from the dike. Ammersoyen Castle is open for viewing. This beautiful moated castle originally dates from the eleventh century. In Hedel you pass the Reformed Church, a building dating from 1640. After crossing the Maas, you drive to De Lachende Vis in Empel. Here you can enjoy a nice terrace before you drive to Bokhoven. Here you see the Antonius Abbot Church, to the left of the road are the remains of an ancient castle wall. You can get a breath of fresh air on the Maas, after which you can enjoy a delicious meal at't Wellse Veerhuis.
