Description
For touring cyclists who, individually or in small groups, want to enjoy the surroundings. Largely across the junction network, so not everywhere. On paved and (sometimes) semi-paved roads and cycle paths. Undulating terrain around Oldenzaal and De Lutte, including the Tankenberg.
Plenty of highlights along the way, on or directly near the route: Oud-Borne, the Molenven near Saasveld, De Tankenberg just outside Oldenzaal, the Lutterzand nature reserve, Museum Natura Docet Wonderryck and Singraven Estate with castle and watermill in Denekamp, Havezathe Het Everloo in Rossum , Het Stift (protected village view) near Weerselo, the Weerselose Market, Sortimentstuin het Weleveld in Zenderen, vineyard Het Nijrees in Almelo.
This route is part of a circuit of eleven LF rounds through Twente. If you have cycled all eleven, then you know the versatility of the Twente landscape better than anyone.
