Walking through the countryside of Sittard

Just outside Sittard you can take a nice walk through the countryside. You walk along mostly quiet roads past fields and meadows. An ideal route to leave the everyday hustle and bustle behind. During this route you will be introduced to three villages, of which Guttecoven is the first. You will see some characteristic farms here. On the edge of Limbricht you will pass the old St. Salvius Church, a building whose history dates back to the Middle Ages. You can also see the outer bailey of Limbricht Castle here. In the middle of the village there are still some beautiful monumental buildings, such as the new St. Salvius Church from 1922. On the Bovenstraat you will pass a devotional column from 1747. Finally, you will walk through Einighausen. Here you will see three eighteenth-century farms. The route ends at Clevers IJssalon Einighausen.
