Cycling route Borkeld, Goor and Markelo

From Markelo you will experience a beautiful cycling day in the Twente coulisse landscape. First you cycle to the Borkeld. Here you will find a mosaic of forests, fields and grasslands. The largest juniper shrub in the Netherlands also grows here. Then you cycle a few kilometres on car-free roads through the countryside. It is wonderfully quiet here, ideal for a day of relaxation. At Boerderij Erve Tankink you can take a refreshing break on the cosy terrace. After enjoying a drink and homemade artisanal ice cream, you cycle along the Twenthekanaal to Goor. A little later you cycle through Stokkum. Thanks to the well-preserved old farms, part of this town enjoys protected village view. Finally you come through Markelo. Here you can take a look at the beautiful Martinuskerk.
