This route takes you through various German towns and nature reserves a stone's throw from the Lower Rhine. Here you cycle through vast agricultural areas with authentic farms and forests that are interspersed with recreational lakes.
Halde Norddeutschland
From Rheinberg, this route takes you through the historic town of Kamp-Lintfort full of sights and along the outskirts of the town of Moers. On the rest of the route you can enjoy the peace and space in nature along the Lower Rhine. South of Kamp-Lintfort, for example, you cycle along Halde Norddeutschland, a mountain of no less than 102 meters in height. This mountain was created by mining and today it serves as a beautiful viewpoint. Deviate from the route to climb this mountain and then enjoy a magnificent view from the top of the mountain. From here you can see for miles. You will also cycle past puddles created by sand excavations.
