Cycling through South Limburg is a treat for cycling enthusiasts. The nature is beautiful, it is nice and quiet and it feels like you are abroad. From the lovely Sint-Geertruid you cycle to Eckelrade, Cadier en Keer and Bemelen. A little further on, the route takes you through De Dellen. The name comes from sunken roads that have worn into the slope. Until the twentieth century, this area was only covered with heathland. Get off in Schimmert at CUBE Store Limburg! Via Valkenburg you cycle to Gulpen - a nice place to sit on a terrace. Gulpen is known for the striking church tower to which St. Peter's Church was once attached. Just outside Gulpen you cycle past Groenendaal: a large nineteenth-century farm that was once a castle.
