Anyone who knows Twente knows that it has a beautiful coulisse landscape in which it is wonderful to cycle. For those who do not know Twente yet, that is a good reason to get to know it.
Did you know that there are several mountains in Twente? These belong to the moraine complex Enschede-Oldenzaal and were formed when land ice from Scandinavia pushed up sand, clay and other material millions of years ago. The mountains have become more hills over the years due to erosion, but putting in some extra effort on your bike is not superfluous. Stop between all those mountains for a walk in the beautiful nature reserves of Lutterzand and Egheria.
Alternate nature with a visit to the Sint Plechelmusbasiliek and Schatkamer in Oldenzaal. In this treasury of the basilica various relics and church works are kept. Do you still have the strength to climb the tower?
