Enjoy the border region between Baarle-Nassau and Hilvarenbeek

The first kilometers you ride on the Bels Lijntje: a cycle path that was constructed on the former railway line between Tilburg and Turnhout. Just after Alphen you make a shortcut through Belgium, after which you arrive at Landgoed Nieuwkerk. It is wonderfully peaceful here to cycle through the woods. It will not surprise you that in the past many goods such as butter and tobacco were smuggled here. From Goirle you drive to Landgoed Gorp en Roovert, after which you cycle into Hilvarenbeek. At the picturesque Vrijthof you can enjoy a cozy terrace at Hotel-Restaurant Herberg St. Petrus, before you drive back to the woods. East of Poppel you pass through the picturesque Aa valley. Get off in Baarle to marvel at the many borders between the exclaves of Baarle-Nassau and Baarle-Hertog.
