Your route starts at the farm shop Stal den Hollander. From here you can walk straight into the stately Wassenaar, known for its monumental villas and estates. You also walk into Wassenaar itself, where you visit the Dorpskerk. This Dutch Reformed church on the Plein dates from the beginning of the 12th century. At that time it was still a tuff stone church. Around 1450 there was talk of a real church, but it was largely destroyed during the Spanish period (16th century). The tower and the two-aisled nave were later rebuilt. In the park-like surroundings of Wassenaar you will pass several beautiful homes. On the edge of Wassenaar you will find the Vreeburg estate, here you will find a white plastered tower from the 19th century with a house that was built against it in 1986.
Below you will find various suggestions for breaks that you can visit during your route. These are divided into different categories, making it easy for you to choose.
