Description

Vorden, Zutphen, Almen

This impressive cycling route takes you past the many historical eye-catchers that this already beautiful area has to offer. A route full of country houses, castles, monuments and museums that you can just get off your bike for.

Do you start the route at the tourist transfer point in Zutphen? Then you can park your car here if necessary. There are a number of special sights to visit in this historic city. A chain library from the 16th century, the 14th century Broederenkerk and the Old Town Hall of Zutphen, for example.

The tour continues in the direction of Bronckhorst, where you can take a look at the chapel and the castle ruins. Part of Bronkhorst is a nationally protected sight and the town has no fewer than 38 national monuments.

After Bronkhorst you head to Vorden, where the castle awaits you. After a wonderful tour of Gelderland history, you return to Zutphen via the sheep herd, Almen and the Bakker Museum.
