Northern Veluwe estate route

Your route starts at Bakery Schreuder in Nunspeet. The Staverden estate was built centuries ago as the start of a city, but fortunately that never came to be. It is a wonderfully authentic place, in the middle of nature. Take a break at Bakery Schreuder in Garderen! You continue cycling through the Speulderbos, a real primeval forest where nature is allowed to take its course and where it is wonderfully quiet. You will see gnarled oaks, crooked birches and tall ferns. When it is a bit foggy, with a little imagination it looks as if the trees are dancing. Get off at the Ermelosche Heide Visitor Center. You drive back through the Leuvenumse Bos, along the Leuvenumsche Beek. Boars, badgers and red deer live here. Dead wood can be left behind, nice and 'primal'!
