Cycling between Bredevoort and Zwillbrock

In the Achterhoek you will have no trouble switching back. It is wonderfully quiet here to cycle along car-free paths through the beautiful nature of the Winterswijk National Landscape. In Questionnder you pass the Vier Winden, a flour mill from 1958. Just across the border you take a tour through the German nature reserve the Zwillbrocker Venn. This is home to a colony of flamingos that you can see from a bird hide. In between you can drive to the village of Zwillbrock to view the baroque St. Francis Church from 1720. Back in the Netherlands you pass the local football club just before Meddo. Here is one of the largest boulders in the Netherlands. You pass Camping't Hilgelomeer, an ideal base for exploring the Achterhoek. Finally, you pass through Bredevoort, the cozy and picturesque book town.
