Walking through Berkel en Rodenrijs and the Groenzoom

You start this route in Berken and Rodenrijs, two former villages that are now considered a core. You walk along the edge of the park named after Annie MG Schmidt, the writer who lived alternately in Berkel and Rodenrijs and on the Cote d'Azur during her married years. Then you make a shortcut and end up in De Groenzoom. In 2010, a start was made to develop this agricultural area into new nature. You now walk past herb-rich fields and water features with waving reed collars. An ideal area to get a breath of fresh air and relax. You walk back to the old village center of Berkel along the Bergse Plas. Here you can eat at your leisure at Muller&Co Berkel en Rodenrijs.
