Description
The first kilometers you drive through the polders east of Boskoop. On the former peat soil you now see elongated grasslands, ditches and tree nurseries. You will also pass some beautiful old farms and characteristic bridges. On the edge of Waddinxveen you cross the Gouwe Over. The lifting bridge and the bridge keeper's house date from 1936 and are both national monuments. Further on is the striking Bridge Church from 1837. Via Moerkapelle you drive to the Bentwoud, a young forest in which space has also been made for flower-rich grasslands and swamps. With over 800 hectares, this is the largest contiguous forest area in the Randstad. In Boskoop you cross the Gouwe again via a lifting bridge. This bridge also dates from 1936. After getting off, enjoy a meal at BUCK Bar Kitchen.
