Description
The majority of this route follows a large loop through the Sallandse Heuvelrug National Park. From the hills in this area, you can enjoy stunning views. Via Hellendoorn, you cycle back to the starting point of this route. At the start, you'll pass the former Egede Castle, beautifully situated in the romantic Reggedal Valley. Nowadays, only a remnant of the former manor house and its farmyard remains, but it remains a beautiful spot. The original manor house was built here in the second half of the 14th century. Surrounding the castle is the Egede estate, north of the Overijssels Canal.
