Tour of Ommen and Vilsteren from Lemele

The first part of the route takes you from Lemele to Ommen. You cycle through the Lemelerberg nature reserve. This area is the largest nature reserve in Overijssel with small heathlands, deciduous forests and drifting sand plains. You will also find the Lemelerberg here, a hill of 78 meters high. From the top of the Lemelerberg you can enjoy a beautiful view of the landscape, all the way to Germany. From Ommen you cycle along the course of the Overijsselse Vecht to Vilsteren, on the other side of the river. It is part of the Vilsteren estate, recognizable by the shutters that are colored dark green and light yellow, the colors of the coat of arms of the Van Vilsteren family. Stop off at Restaurant Cafe and Ice Cream Parlor Hancate 2.0 along the way!
