Scoot route - Heilige Eik Bede-Vaart

This route is specially intended for differently abled people who would like to take a nice route in the electric wheelchair, mobility scooter or duo bike in the beautiful nature in and around Biest-Houtakker, Haghorst and Oirschot. The route is approximately 16 km long and starts at the Buitenzaam visitor center in Cafe Ome Toon in Biest-Houtakker, where there is a spacious and free parking lot. The route ends in the Oirschot marina. By appointment you can take the boat from Stichting de Waterengel (https://dewaterengel.nl/) with a group with a mobility scooter or wheelchair back to the passers-by harbor of Biest-Houtakker via a boat trip (Note: advance booking for a group is necessary !).

The route takes you from Biest-Houtakker past the meadow bird areas of De Gemeijnt and Diessens Broek. You pass the Gemeijnt viewing platform where you look out over the two areas and where you can also sit at the inclusive picnic table with a wheelchair or mobility scooter. You continue your route along the Wilhelmina Canal to Sluis IV and the center of Haghorst. Via the countryside you drive to the five-way intersection to drive through the Baest estate. From here you continue the route towards the beautiful chapel of the Holy Oak. If you drive into Oirschot at the Heuvel bridge, you will also pass the VandeOirsprong brewery. Via the beautiful center of Oirschot and the St. Peter's Basilica you drive via the green corridor over the cyclist bridge to cross the Wilhelmina Canal. You end at the marina.

'care stops\\\' are included on the route. These are places where an electric wheelchair or mobility scooter can be charged, where there is a disabled toilet and in some cases even care staff are present for 'small care questions'. The healthcare stops on this route are:
