North of Zelhem you can take a walk through the't Zand estate. The current forests were used as communal land by farmers for centuries. The land has been privately owned since 1821. After changing owners a few times, the estate was redesigned after a devastating forest fire in 1934. Partly because of this, you can now take a varied walk along avenues and winding paths. In 2006 the estate was split through inheritance. Part of it is now called Hoenderkamp. From 1921 to 1937, there was a stop on the railway line between Doetinchem and Hengelo at the corner of Berkendijk and Petersdijk. This stop was a favor from the owner of the line to a friend who lived on the estate. The route ends at the Heeren van Wolfersveen.
