Description
It is beautiful to cycle through the Kempen around Eersel. First you drive through the woods to Knegsel and Steensel. You then cycle further south along fields and grasslands. In Weebosch you pass the Gerardus Majella, a characteristic monumental church from 1907. A little later you enter Boswachterij De Kempen. Here you quickly get the feeling that civilization is miles away. What a silence. You drive a bit along the edge of the Cartierheide. Get off for a moment to enjoy the view. Eersel is one of the Eight Beatitudes. There are many beautiful old buildings on the attractive Markt, this area is a protected villagescape. Via Duizel you drive back to Gasterij Dorsgenot. Time for a drink and a tasty snack.
