From your starting point you drive smoothly onto the Oude Buisse Heide, an estate that consists of a mix of forest and small-scale agricultural land. The poet Henriette Roland Holst liked to be inspired by this beautiful landscape. Many celebrities came to visit. Then you cross to Zundert, the birthplace of Vincent van Gogh. Take a break at Café ut Krisje along the way! Here you can enjoy a delicious lunch or a nice drink. The oldest mention of Meersel dates from 1228. The name Dreef was added when a lane to the Capuchin monastery was constructed in 1690. Due to the religious persecution in the Netherlands, many Catholics came to practice their faith just across the border. It became so busy that a good access road had to be constructed: the Dreef. Since 1895 there has also been a Maria Park with Lourdes Grotto.
Below you will find various suggestions for breaks that you can visit during your route. These are divided into different categories, making it easy for you to choose.
