Tour of Pannenhoef, Mastbos and Mark

Your route starts at Café ut Krisje. You take a tour around Rijsbergen to De Pannenhoef, an old peat area. Until the seventeenth century, plenty of peat was extracted here. Now there is a beautiful nature reserve of forests, fens and flowery meadows. Then you cycle into the Mastbos. This forest dates from the sixteenth century. You will see stately beech avenues, but also conifers. At the edge of the forest you will discover the beautiful Bouvigne Castle, a centuries-old hunting lodge. The Mark is at the back. Cycling along the water you have a beautiful view of the village of Ulvenhout. You follow the lazily meandering Mark for a long way.
