Your route starts at Café ut Krisje. You can walk between the farmlands to the Galderse Meren, a nature and recreational lake below Breda where you can swim and laze. The recreational season runs from April 1 to September 30. The recreational lake was created by sand excavations for the construction of the A6. The nature reserve borders the Galderse Heide and is named after the nearby village of Galder, which you also walk through. Galder is a very old stream valley settlement, which was already inhabited in Carolingian times (10th century). A chapel was built in the 15th century. Chapel hamlets were common at the time, useful for local residents who could not travel to the nearest church village. There is a clock in the chapel from 1533. At Café ut Krisje you can enjoy a delicious lunch or drink after your tour.
