Description

Your route starts at Cafe d\\\'r Eck. In Rimburg you will pass the Trinity Church, a beautiful national monument from 1726. A little later you will cross the Worm, a tributary of the Roer that forms part of the Dutch-German border. Grube Adolf Park is located on a former mine site from 1913. The engine house serves as a visitor center. The slag heap has been turned into a landscape park with special nature and many hiking trails. A viewing platform offers spectacular views of the German-Dutch border area. You descend again via the Rimburger Wald slope forest to the green Worm Valley. Here you can see the eighteenth-century Rimburger mill and Rimburg Castle, a castle that originally dates from the twelfth century. Historically, these two buildings belong to Rimburg, but since 1816 they have been on German territory.
