Walking near Leimuiden: Prik & Cheers route

This walking route around Leimuiden consists of two loops. The first loop takes you through the village. You will see some beautiful buildings here, such as the Dorpskerk from 1805. Then you walk a few kilometers along the Westeinderplassen. You turn right onto a border path. On the left you look out over North Holland, on the right over South Holland. In Bilderdam you pick up the path along the Drecht. You walk back to Prik & Proost along the rippling water. Time for a nice lunch, so you can start your second loop with plenty of energy. This takes you south, to the village of Rijnsaterwoude. Via the Leidse Vaart you cross to Langeraar. Just above the village you have a beautiful view over the lakes. You walk back to Leimuiden along the Drecht.
