Round of drebels at Zieuwent

Your route starts at Grand Cafe Markt 5. From here you walk to Zieuwent, a'droebel village\\\' with small clusters of farms among the vast meadows. The word'murky\\\' means a group or a tangle. The groups of farms originated on a higher camp, in the middle of the lower grounds that are often wet. Other farms were built by family members around the founder's house. The route starts and ends in Lichtenvoorde. On the Lichtenvoorde market you will find a boulder weighing more than 20,000 kilos. The boulder was dragged there in 1874 by 99 shoemakers from Lichtenvoorde, on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of the reign of King Willem III. Lichtenvoorde owes the name'Keistad\\\' to it, and the inhabitants the nickname'Keiensloppers\\\' (boulder tugs).
