Your route starts at Camping Ons Wijland. Via the villages of Hoogmade and Woubrugge you drive to the Wijde Aa, an elongated lake. There is a covered marina and you can swim there. Get off here to sit on a bench and enjoy the boats and the rippling water. You pass the Paddegat, a narrow connection between the Braassemermeer and the Wijde Aa. You also drive a bit along the Braassemermeer. This lake was created by peat extraction and is now gratefully used by many water sports enthusiasts. In Roelofarendsveen you see that a lot of horticulture is done. From 1900 this village had its own auction. On the way back you will pass the villages of Rijpwetering and Oude Ade. You will also see Vrouw Venne, a seventeenth-century polder mill.
Below you will find various suggestions for breaks that you can visit during your route. These are divided into different categories, making it easy for you to choose.
