Your route starts at Pannenkoekenhuis De Boskabouter. Further on you will pass the Wenumse Molen, a beautiful fourteenth-century watermill on the Wenumse Beek. It served as a flour mill, but also as a copper mill. Then you cycle behind Paleispark Het Loo. You drive for a long time through the silent forests of the Royal Houtvesterij Het Loo, the largest contiguous forest area in the Netherlands. Here you really feel how vast the forests of the Veluwe are. Long avenues with tall deciduous trees alternate with winding paths and sudden open heathlands. Niersen is a wonderfully authentic hamlet, a typical Veluwe ash or enk settlement. Niersen is first mentioned around 1335 as the'marka Niirsen\\\'. From the Middle Ages, people here lived from sheep farming and arable farming.
