Bergharen countryside - version 2

The walk was already mentioned in a party book message, but now also as an event.

What do we do.

We can leave at 9:00 am from the parking lot at Verploegen, but if you want, you could also go from Wijchen Zuid. Just short circuit each other... Or of course go straight there.

We start walking at 9:30 am and the first part is along the Nieuwe Wetering, the entrance is directly behind the parking lot. We walk on to the Oude Schaarsestraat and turn right there.

At the Breekwagen we cross'schuuns\\\' (the road continues slightly to the right on the other side). From there it is called the Aaldert.

Past a large farm (right) we pass a wetering / ditch, there we turn right and with a wide arc back to that ditch.

[It is not clear on Google maps whether there is a path along that ditch, but according to Routiq there is. Then we could continue walking and a little further to the right. Otherwise we have to cross the ditch a little earlier. This is therefore also indicated as a route.]

So cross the ditch and follow the path. That path eventually runs behind Mulders Lasbedrijf. Maybe walk there for the view, but then back to the route and towards the Grotestraat.

The Grotestraat continues as Dorpsstraat towards the music chapel in Bergharen. There we turn right, past the H.Anna Church. The Dorpsstraat continues outside the inhabited part of Bergharen into the Stompendijk, where our transport is also parked and where opposite the Camping is the Tolbrug and Snackpoint Hill.

That restaurant is normally not open on Wednesdays, but at my request we can have something to eat and/or drink there....
