Tour Heldense Bossen from Panningen

Your route starts at Cafe Tinus in Panningen. You will soon walk into the Heldense Bossen. Here you walk through a mosaic of pine forests, small-scale arable land, fens and small heathlands. Right through the forests there are still remnants of the old land defense: a raised earthen wall that was planted with thorny shrubs to stop traveling gangs of robbers. What a silence you experience here! Then you walk a bit through the Gruise Epper nature reserve, named after the road of the same name that runs here. It should actually have been called Grieze Upper: gray infertile sand, located high up. Fertilization changed the soil. The beautiful green landscape is no longer reminiscent of the barren soil of the past. You will even come across a vineyard, Domaine d\\\'Elkandre!
