Your route starts at De Rozephoeve. From here you will discover two beautiful nature reserves: the Kampina and the Oisterwijk forests and fens. Two extensive, connected nature reserves where you can enjoy many kilometres of forests, fens and heathland. You will make a beautiful loop along the banks of the Klein and Groot Aderven. These were created by wind erosion, which you can see from the west-southwest location of the fens. Then you walk up the Kampina, a rugged area of heathland and forests. The name is derived from the Roman word campina, wild ground. In August you can enjoy a beautiful colour mosaic in purple hues here thanks to the flowering heather. There are also many fens, for example you walk along the Belversven, one of the most species-rich fens in the Netherlands.
Below you will find various suggestions for breaks that you can visit during your route. These are divided into different categories, making it easy for you to choose.
