Description
Your route starts at Hotel Het Witte Veen. Today you will enjoy nature and culture to the fullest. In Emmen you will discover the Rensenpark, on the site of the Noorder Dierenpark. Here you can enjoy a unique landscape. From an estate it changed into an extensive zoo. Now you will find a public park here where nature, culture and creativity come together. There is a lot to experience and visit in the Rensenpark. Get off and take a look! At the Brink in Sleen you will pass the impressive monumental town hall from 1938. Havezate De Klencke is a small estate that consists of agricultural land and deciduous forest. The buildings on the estate are centuries old, they date back to the year 1520. In 1961 the estate was bequeathed to the Vereniging Natuurmonumenten.
