Your route starts at Hotel-Appartementen De Oude Hamer. First you discover Terziet, a hamlet where time seems to have stood still a bit. A little later you pass Beusdael Castle, the oldest parts of which date from the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries. Sint-Pieters-Voeren is known for its Commanderie. Until the French Revolution, this castle belonged to the Teutonic Knights Order. The current building was built in the Maasland Renaissance style at the beginning of the 17th century. Via the lovely Noorbeek you cycle to Mheer, once voted one of the ten most beautiful villages in the Netherlands. For example, you will see the seventeenth-century St. Lambertus Church, with the fourteenth-century Mheer Castle behind it. In Hofke and Schweiberg you can fully enjoy the centuries-old half-timbered houses.
