Description
Your route starts at Hotel & Brasserie Bosrijk Ruighenrode. From here you walk to the highest point of the Lochemse Berg, which is crowned by the Bélvèdere: a slender round lookout tower from 1893. The name means beautiful view, but that has changed now that the trees have grown so high! The tower was popular with visitors from the surrounding area at the time, just at the time when tourism was emerging. There used to be a tearoom there. Many couples in love took their first walks here during that time! It remains a beautiful spot. Boutique hotel BonAparte – Lochem is a nice place for a cup of coffee. You walk back through the rolling landscape between Lochem and Barchem, a beautiful walking environment with varied nature.
