Tour of Nijmegen and Groesbeek

Your route starts at Tea House and Farm Games De Eikenhorst. You cycle along the Hatertse and Overasseltse Vennen, through a slightly undulating nature reserve. You cycle through a mosaic of coniferous forest, fens and river dunes. After a short cut through the pleasant village of Groesbeek, you cycle further through the Groesbeekse Bossen. You pass the edge of the Mulderskop: within the Groesbeek forestry, this is the only remnant of the heathland that used to be here. Heumensoord, Mulderskop, Heumense Schans and the Mookerheide are increasingly connected. Then you cycle into Nijmegen to soak up the atmosphere. On the way back, you pass the only remaining part of the house in Hatert, the 14th century square tower: a two-storey brick tower.
