Tour of Nijmegen and Groesbeek

Your route starts at the De Eikenhorst Tea House and Farm Games. You'll cycle along the Hatertse and Overasseltse Vennen, through a gently rolling nature reserve. You'll ride through a mosaic of coniferous forests, fens, and river dunes. After a short detour through the charming village of Groesbeek, you'll continue through the Groesbeekse Bossen (Groesbeek Forests). You'll pass the edge of the Mulderskop: within the Groesbeek forestry area, this is the only remnant of the heathland that once stood here. Heumensoord, Mulderskop, Heumense Schans, and the Mookerheide are becoming increasingly interconnected. Afterwards, you'll cycle briefly into Nijmegen to soak up the atmosphere. On the way back, you'll pass the only remaining part of the house in Hatert, the 14th-century square tower: a two-story brick tower.
