Tour of Nijmegen and Groesbeek

Your route starts at Theehuis and Farm Games De Eikenhorst. You cycle along the Hatertse and Overasseltse Vennen, through a gently sloping nature reserve. Here you drive through a mosaic of coniferous forest, fens and river dunes. After a short cut through the pleasant village of Groesbeek, you cycle further through the Groesbeek Forests. You pass the edge of the Mulderskop: within the Groesbeek forestry, this is the only remnant of the heath that used to be here. Heumensoord, Mulderskop, Heumense Schans and the Mookerheide are becoming increasingly connected. Then you cycle into Nijmegen to experience the atmosphere. On the way back you will pass the only remaining part of the house in Hatert, the 14th century square tower: a two-storey brick tower.
