Tour of Valkenburg from'T Koetshoes

Your route starts at Taverne't Koetshoes. This cycling route takes you through the beautiful hilly country near Valkenburg in Limburg. The Limburg hills are beautiful. It is therefore not surprising that you will find many country estates here. Around Voerendaal, for example, you will pass Puth Castle, which is located behind an impressive castle farm. The current Cortenbach Castle dates from 1713. In Voerendaal you will also pass the monumental station building from 1915. In Schin-op-Geul you will see many half-timbered houses and the eleventh-century St. Mauritius Church. At the end of your route you will pass through Oud-Valkenburg. Because of the beautiful surroundings and the historic buildings, this town enjoys a protected village view. From the road you can see the sixteenth-century Genhoes Castle. You will also pass a beautiful square farm and a small church from the twelfth century.
