Walking on the Mosbeek Estate

The Mosbeek Valley is an idyllic nature reserve. You can enjoy beautiful walks along the essen. In the forest just before the German border you walk past the Mander Circles. They were laid out as fields by textile manufacturer Jannink in the 1930s. Instead of crops you will now find the largest landscape art project in the Netherlands. Just past junction D49 you pass the former dolmen of Mander. You walk through the silent forests on the Galgenberg, an almost 70 meter high hill that 'owes' its name to the executions that took place here in the Middle Ages. You walk back to Mander on a beautiful path.
