Walking on the Mosbeek Estate

The Dal van de Mosbeek is an idyllic nature reserve. You can take beautiful walks along the ash trees. In the forest just before the German border you walk along the Mander circles. They were created as fields by textile manufacturer Jannink in the thirties. Instead of crops you will now find the largest landscape art project in the Netherlands. Just past junction D49 you will pass the former dolmen of Mander. You walk through the quiet forests on the Galgenberg, an almost 70 meter high hill that 'thanks' its name to the executions that took place here in the Middle Ages. You walk back to Mander on a beautiful path.
