Description
A beautiful route through the Molenheide forest area and the rural surroundings between the villages of Sint Hubert, Mill and Wilbertoord. Start and end point is Cafe Restaurant Villa Brasserie Erica - Wanroijseweg 95 Sint Hubert. Nice for coffee and lunch! The route follows a rural road between Sint Hubert and Wanroij. Then into the Molenheide nature and forest area. Beautiful nature with Scots pines and American oaks and a quiet walking area. In the middle of the Molenheide is a beautiful open heath area where Scottish Highlanders graze. Further on you will pass a stream in the middle of the forest, where many dragonflies can be spotted in spring and summer. On the Wanroijse road towards Brasserie Erica, there is a beautiful monumental flour mill from 1799.
Tip: To shorten the route slightly at the end, you can also walk from junction 39 to 55 (instead of the extra loop via junctions 80 and 81 to 55)
