Tour of Zutphen and the Voorstonden estate

Your route starts at Koffie & Theehuis't Momentje. In the IJsselvallei you drive through a landscape of flowery grasslands, countless streams and small forests. You can get a breath of fresh air in the meadows around the river. The Hanseatic town of Zutphen has one of the best preserved historic city centers in the Netherlands. Because of the many towers, Zutphen is also called the Tower City. On the Groenmarkt you can see, for example, the Wijnhuistoren, a belfry from 1642. The St. Walburgis Church originally dates from the eleventh century! Stop off for a visit to Stedelijk Museum Zutphen and Museum Henriëtte Polak. Further on you will pass the sixteenth-century Voorstonden Castle. The English park was designed by Zocher. The estate has the thickest redwood tree in the Netherlands, with a circumference of over seven meters.
