Description

Your route starts at Herberg De Geulhemermolen. You can easily spend a whole day on this walk, because you will pass all kinds of nice places to visit. Museums, castles, caves - you won't get bored! First you walk through Ingendael: a wonderfully quiet nature reserve with flower-rich grasslands through which the Geul meanders. You have a beautiful view of Sint Gerlach Castle. From here you can walk straight into charming Valkenburg. Take the time to visit the Roman Catacombs. Den Halder Castle is located right along the Geul, a fortified residential tower that was then located against the medieval city wall. Via the Geulpark and Kasteel Oost you make a nice loop through the greenery, on the way to the Wilhelmina Tower.
