Tour of Bornerbroek, Grasbroek and De Doorbraak

Your route starts at Bistro Le Primeur. After a cup of coffee, put on your walking shoes. The typical Twente village of Bornerbroek is beautifully situated between gently sloping fields and meadows, oak forests, heaths and fens. From the village you walk via a narrow footpath to the recreational lake Het Grasbroek. The water is surrounded by forest, a beautiful spot. On a nice day you can take a lovely dip here! Back in the village you walk a bit along the De Doorbraak stream, which meanders over historic grounds in Bornerbroek. The stream forms an ecological connection with the Sallandse Heuvelrug, a national park. You will pass one of the 7 works of art that artist Rinus Roelofs has placed along the stream, each with their own story.
