Your route starts in Berg aan de Maas. You drive straight through beautiful old Sittard. See if you feel like cycling up the Kollenberg, a hill rich in history. The St. Rosa Chapel was built at the highest point in 1675, dedicated to Rosa van Lima, the patroness of Sittard. During the time of the goat riders, robbers often gathered in the chapel. You can also easily skip the loop. Then you drive through Sittard City Park, beautifully situated in the Geleenbeek valley. Get off at Gasterie Bie de Burgemeister! In historic Elsloo you will pass the beautiful Elsloo Castle. Get off at the Maesbempder Greend strolling area, where you will discover herds of Konik horses and Galloway cattle around an old arm of the Meuse.
