Your route starts in Berg aan de Maas. You will ride right through the beautiful old Sittard. See if you feel like cycling up the Kollenberg, a hill that is rich in history. At the highest point, the Sint-Rosakapel was built in 1675, dedicated to Rosa van Lima, the patroness of Sittard. At the time of the goat riders, robbers often gathered in the chapel. You can easily skip the loop. Then you ride through Stadspark Sittard, beautifully situated in the valley of the Geleenbeek. Stop off at Gasterie Bie de Burgemeister! In the historic Elsloo you will pass the beautiful Kasteel Elsloo. Stop off at the Maesbempder Greend foraging area, here you will discover herds of Konik horses and Galloway cattle around an old Maas arm.
