Tour of the castle, castle farm and robbers' chapel

Your route starts in Genhout. Near Spaubeek you will see a large farm that was once part of Sint Jansgeleen Castle. In the beautiful Geleenbeekdal you will discover Terborgh Castle, a nice place to browse around. You cross the Geleenbeek, after which you climb into the Stammenderbos. Black alder and ash grow along the stream, higher up you will see beeches and oaks. From the Danikerberg you can enjoy beautiful views of the area. Stop off at Gasterie Bie de Burgemeister, in Oud-Geleen! Via Sittard you drive up Kollenberg. The Sint-Rosakapel was built here in 1675, dedicated to Rosa van Lima, the patroness of Sittard. The goat riders used to often gather here. On the way back you will encounter the Geleenbeek again near Schinnen.
