Tour of Drouwenerzand, Drouwen and Bronneger

Your route starts at Camping het Horstmannsbos. In this region you will find plenty of natural beauty and cultural history. Via the Drouwenerzand nature reserve you will cross to Drouwen. Stop by the Expositieboerderij Versteend Leven, where you will find minerals, fossils, jewellery and shells from all over the world. For more than 40 years, avid collectors have been working here. Worth it for the beautiful location alone! Then you walk past the 5 dolmens of Bronneger, on the Steenakkersweg. The area around Drouwen, Bronneger and Borger formed a core area for the dolmen builders. Dolmen D21 is probably one of the oldest dolmens (around 3400 BC). Dolmen D22 is located close to it. The three other dolmens D23, D24 and D25 are grouped together.
