Ronde Halve Maan and Nieuwkerk Estate

Your route starts at the Nieuwkerkse Hoeve. Drink a cup of coffee before putting on your walking shoes! Your walk gets off to a good start with Nieuwkerk Estate. Here are some beautiful farms and a beautiful monastery, in the middle of the forest. Nieuwkerk is partly located in the Netherlands, partly in Belgium. The hamlet owes its name to the border church that was built here in 1652. Catholics from Tilburg could go here to practice their faith. During this short walk you will become acquainted with the Halve Maan nature reserve, which is located between the Regte Heide in the north and Ooijevaarsnest in the south. A nice green area to walk in and stretch your legs between coffee and lunch!
