START: From the hotel back to the'main road\\\'. Go RIGHT towards Junction 99

Follow the junction list.

At Knpt 68 you are in Varsenare.

From Knpt 40 follow the Ghent-Bruges-Oostende canal.

At Knpt 27 (Plassendale) you leave the canal and head for the coast.

At Knpt 56 you arrive at the coast (Vosseslag is on the right). You go towards Bredene-Bad/Knpt 92.

PLEASE NOTE: after about 300m you turn RIGHT OVER the DUIN towards Knpt 8/Oostende.

After Knpt 8 you cross the Voorhaven with the free Ferry Boat (sailing times 6.30am-10.30am and 11am-6pm) to Knpt 45 Visserskaai. You can take your bicycle with you!

From the ferry, turn RIGHT (follow the junction list) and cycle via the boulevard (Albert-I promenade) to the Venetiaanse Gaanderings and De Kaap (=Knpt 74).

Here LEFT to Knpt 85.

Knpt 85/Oostende = approximately 37 km traveled.

BACK by bus? At Knpt 85, turn LEFT towards Knpt 45.

Over the bridge and at the end LEFT (= Iependreef. For Knpt 45 you have to keep right here, which we do not do). Continue along the bend (= Zinnialaan). Take the 1st ^LEFT (= Kazernelaan). At the end: Mercatorlaan. The bus is located near the Maritime Institute Ostend.
