Tour of castles near Sittard

Your route starts at't Gäöls Heukske. Elsloo Castle is the eye-catcher of the protected villagescape in Elsloo, a picturesque town on the Maas. The moated castle, Castle Stein, includes the ruins of a marlstone keep from 1200. Further on, in Grevenbricht you can wave a wave to Belgium. Via Grevenbricht you cross to Born. You then pass Grasbroek Castle, which originally dates from the sixteenth century. Via the Limbrichterbos you drive to Limbricht Castle, a motte-and-bailey castle with a moat.
