Description

Your route starts at Duinhoeve Recreation Park. Here you are on the edge of the Loonse and Drunense Duinen, a National Park. You can easily discover two beautiful nature reserves by bike: the Kampina and the Oisterwijk forests and fens. Two vast, connected nature reserves where you can enjoy many kilometers of forests, fens and heathland. Oisterwijk itself is also a nice place to take a look around. You will pass the St. Peter's Church, a neo-Gothic cross basilica from 1897 designed by Pierre Cuypers. This Limburger (he is from Roermond) is also the architect of the Rijksmuseum building and the Central Station in Amsterdam. The area around the church is so beautiful that it has been declared a protected villagescape. A perfect spot to enjoy a drink on a terrace!
