Tour of Lopik and farmlands

Your route starts at Gasterij de Toren. The Krimpenerwaard and Lopikerwaard are located in the middle of the Het Groene Hart National Landscape. Here you will find a beautiful mix of nature, rivers and historic towns. Moreover, it is wonderfully quiet in this vast polder landscape. Perfect for a nice walk. Near the Lek you have beautiful views over the flowery floodplains and the babbling river. In Lopik you can admire the beautiful fifteenth-century village church. Water tower Polsbroek was built in 1936. The height of the tower ensured that water pressure could be created: this was the drinking water supply for the area, from a water reservoir of up to 400 m3. Here you leave the road and enter a path between the meadows. What peace here!
