Tour of Lopik and fields

Your route starts at Gasterij de Toren. In the middle of the National Landscape Het Groene Hart lie the Krimpener- and Lopikerwaard. Here you will find a beautiful mix of nature, rivers and historical towns. Moreover, it is wonderfully quiet in this vast polder landscape. Perfect for a nice walk. Near the Lek you have beautiful views over the flowery floodplains and the babbling river. In Lopik you can admire the beautiful fifteenth-century village church. Water tower Polsbroek dates from 1936. The height of the tower ensured that water pressure could be created: this was the drinking water supply for the area, from a water reservoir of 400 m3. Here you leave the road and dive into a path between the meadows. What peace here!
